Miniature Incubator for Petri Dishes
The miniature incubators can be used with glass bottom dishes, and petri dishes.
Incorporates two ports for inflow and outflow tubing, and extra port with a luer connector for gas mixture input.
Includes
a set of adjustable tubing holders
to position perfusion tubing for continuous media exchange.
The included plastic insert (fits 35mm glass bottom dishes) has separate compartments for solution inflow and outflow
to provide smooth perfusion and to prevent bubbles from entering the working
area. Consider adding a miniature perfusion and
controlled flow system.
Can be used for long-term imaging.
See cell chemotaxis tracks obtained during 8 hours incubation.
Can be upgraded with an objective heater for immersion optics.
Can be used with standard 35mm
petri dishes (optional petri dish adapters and perfusion insert might be required). The system can be
also used with coverslip holders (replaceable
coverslips) for high resolution imaging.

Note: This incubator is well suited for glass bottom dishes, that have flat bottom, for use with any optics.
However, some plastic Petri dishes have a protruding rim on the bottom, which elevates the dish above the surface.
The included metal shims and thermal compound are used to eliminate this gap, to conduct the heat to the dish.
This allows you to use the heater with regular plastic
Petri dishes as well.
Due to the elevated positioning of the dish, the effective optical clearance (15mm) might be decreased if used with Plastic dish
and oil immersion optics. If regular plastic Petri dishes are used, incubator with 35mm clearance is recommended.
